No. The charger has a magnetic strength of 1,200 g to ensure that your phone stays securely attached. For the strongest MagSafe lock, pair with an ESR HaloLock case for a magnetic strength of 2,000 g.
This magnetic charger is designed with a support arm for added stability to ensure a secure mount. To ensure stability while driving, make sure to follow our installation steps by either watching our installation video or reading the included manual.
This wireless charger is compatible with a caseless iPhone with MagSafe (12 series or later) , an ESR HaloLock case, an official MagSafe case, or a standard case with the HaloLock Universal Ring.

ESR have done it again!I have had a MagSafe charger in my car for a few years now but never really been happy with it.This new 15W MagSafe Car Charger from ESR does not disappoint.In the box is the charger, bracket-clip, charging cable and cigar-lighter adapter for USB-C (extremely helpful).The socket adapter and charging unit both light-up blue when powered which looks amazing.All elements are great quality and well made. The MagSafe hold is firm but easy enough to detach when you want to.Will fit most car vents – car shown in video is a 2019 Fiat 500.

I received this Premium Cryoboost car charger as a present so it won’t show as a verified purchaser but nonetheless, I got 2 now. It seems like it is made from a quality material. It doesn’t feel cheap. (it certainly isn’t low cost) When it is connected with a cable that it works with, it does draw a decent amount of power. (My phone was around 50% so it probably wasn’t drawing the maximum but I saw it draw a little over 16w, from my 100w power adapter, using my tester) The fan does blow a good amount of air without being even remotely close to as loud as their lower cost Cryoboost car charger. I could comfortably have this one in the house by the bed or recliner and the fan noise not be distracting. The lower cost Cryoboost one, there is no way I could have it in a fairly quiet environment with as fast as they have that fan spinning and the noise it makes while doing so. This does have a decently bright blue light all around both of the magnetic pads that touch your phone tho that would prevent it from being in a dark room for me. The light also shines out of the back through the fan grills.Initially, I thought they took USB-C and made it proprietary but after getting time to really sit down and test it with 15 or so of my various brands of USB-C cables, it is just out of standard.It will work with my other C to C cables but only if they don’t have an E-Marker chip. Using my FNB58 USB tester, I went through more than a hand full of cables from name brands to no name cheap cables. With any C-C cable that my tester could communicate with an E-Marker chip, the ESR charger would not function. This included much more recognizable brand names and cheap no name cables that cost less than a couple of dollars.So for those, unable to test for themselves, that need a replacement cable or just want a shorter cable, any real 60w C-C cable will likely work, from my testing. Anything rated for higher than 60w should have an E-Marker chip and, from my experience, will not work with the charger.As an aside, it will appear to work with a USB-A to C cable that’s plugged into a modern QC3.0 Power source but it will only actually use the 5v 2.4a protocol at the highest I saw of around 11w from the meter. So quite a bit less than that would actually reach your phone despite it showing as charging. I would estimate it charging at 5w most likely in that instance due to the inefficiency of wireless charging.ESR lost 2 stars due to their not working with more USB-C standard cables. More and more cables are coming with E-Marker chips and so far this is the only device I’ve found to behave the way it does with them.

My iPhone 12 Pro Max is charged almost as quickly as the original wired charge. And without a doubt, keep cooler than it. Hold it absolutely firmly. No issues, even on very bumpy routes. As shown in the pictures, it is holding and charging my AirPods as well.I’ve like every ESR product I’ve used up until this point, but this one is exceptional. I highly suggest.

works great BUT. the ball mount isn’t really friendly to work with a Panavise vehicle specific permanent bracket mount which I had to Permanently modify to work the way I need it, also the cable is way too long for a car situation. ESR Something that 12”to 24” range would be good versus the 1 meter cable it comes with.

This is yet another great product from ESR, really happy with it.The kit itself is of a high standard, it feels solidly built and the usb c cable and 12v adaptor are superb quality.My car comes with a built-in wireless charger but I find it’s not particularly good. My phone (iPhone 12 pro) constantly overheats. This is the exact opposite. As it has an incorporated fan, it keeps my phone relatively cool.Installation is a doddle, it clips securely onto the vent. The Halolock system holds my phone tightly and not once, since I’ve been using it, has either fallen off. Despite the state of the U.K. roads!Overall, I have zero complaints and I’m glad I purchased it. It ticks all the boxes.

I had an issue with the tightening knob for the swivel arm. Essentially it broke. I reached out to the vendor and was immediately contacted by one of the customer service representatives. Zed from the ESR support team handled my claim efficiently and effectively. I am very pleased with the outcome of my claim, and even more pleased with the fact that ESR cared enough to find a quick solution to my problem. I have purchased a few items from ESR with no issue. I feel confident that any issue that may occur in the future will be handled with care and expediency by the EST team.

For the most part it was a very good product until one of the plastic pieces started to crack and made the once firm mount sort of flimsy. I liked it overall just thought that it didn’t last very long.

Amazing case ! I love all of Esr products and for the last 4 iPhones I’ve go on ESR or their website to purchased their products and cases. The halo lock magnets are incredibly strong and keeps the device in place until you pull it off. I had an issue with the screw but the seller fixed it and resolved the issue quickly . I’m very confident with any of the products this seller releases and will continue to use their chargers, cases, and magnetic accessories in the future.
