I recently purchased a different one from ESR to see which brand I liked best. This one is hands down the best. Keyboard is backlight even though they don’t state that. I love that you can change colors. It has a soft velvet feel rather than cheap plastic. Super strong magnet. I did check out the Apple keyboard at Best Buy for 349 (outrageous price) and this keyboard blew Apple out the water. Super happy with it!! Ps , it fit my iPad 13 pro perfectly.

Love the magnets. Very strong and secure. Also absolutely love the feature of being able to put the iPad in landscape or portrait mode. Portrait mode is great when reading or writing documents. Unfortunately the entire product makes the iPad very heavy to carry around and actually ends up being heavier than my MacBook which is what I don’t want.

The company’s description was accurate but did not convey the degree of roughness which I found to be a little too rough. Installation instructions were confusing and the first protector was ruined in the application. The second protector was installed successfully. The application guide frame works very well.Feedback to the company regarding roughness and confusing installation instructions was met with a quick response and an offer to provide a substitute protector. Very impressed with their customer service.

Man putting this on was a pain in the butt. I thought it was going to be super easy and awesome when I opened the box and saw the holder and everything and thought it was cool that it came with two of everything just in case. Well thank goodness it came with two of everything because I needed it. Cleaning the screen and the supplies they provided for that was awesome and the video to follow along with was great – I would have given this five stars if it went smoothly from there. However putting the film across the surface of my iPad was a pain as it was impossible to remove all the air bubbles from beneath the completely clean screen even with the smoothing tool provided. I lifted up a corner of the second protective film to check and some of the bubbles were from that film over the screen protector. There was one odd shape that wouldn’t smooth out and I had to lift up the screen protector to check and it was a flaw in the second film, but I had already messed up the screen protector checking that and so I needed to use the second one. Due to having to start the process over, there was some dust that got stuck to the screen and then this was a pain to get rid of after having used the cleaning supplies already and then apply the second screen protector. I had to press so hard and wipe so much I was afraid I was going to damage either the screen or the protector or both. Had the same problem with the air bubbles being impossible to remove and using a razor blade, I was able to carefully lift up the edge of the screen protector and grab a speck of dust with tweezers. I got most of the air bubbles out but there remains like one or two very small ones near the edge that are stubborn af. Finally had to just call it good enough. The texture of the protector is a little bit rough, it’s gonna take some getting used to if I decide to keep it on there. The degradation to the quality of the screen is disappointing even if expected…a matte protector seems like there’s always some degradation but the rainbow pixel effect is maddening to look at.

Solid intuitive keyboard – hence quite heavy. Working the touch pad takes a little bit of getting used to. Four star because the Split View button does not work. I would still recommend it.

Good product, love the alignment feature! Only issue is getting the screen to lay properly, but I have trouble with that for all screen products anyway. Only a few small bubbles remained, so pretty good overall! Looking forward to the paper feel while drawing!

This review is for the ESR keyboard case for the 2024 M4 iPad Pro 13.So, let’s start by saying this case is Exactly what I wanted for my new iPad Pro. The M4 iPad is so new, its really hard to find a good aftermarket case, but ESR seems to have read my mind and made one… a really good one albeit. There are a few nitpicks from me, but overall, this is a 5 star case.Why do want this particular case? Because I want the iPad to have a case on at all times. When it is in the keyboard case and when it’s out. ESR has made a keyboard case just for that. The iPad is essentially in a slim black case at all times, so when I remove it from the keyboard case to game or use as an iPad again, I don’t need to worry about it or have another case on standby. ESR accomplished this by making the slim case with a metal backing, so the magnets from the hinged side lock onto the slim case, not the iPad, which makes the magnetic power extremely strong. Once you snap the iPad on, it doesn’t move nor slide around. You can open, close, adjust the hinge angle without fearing your iPad will move around. Oh the slim case will also accommodate the pencil and it even has a strap that will protect the pencil when the case is closed. Overall, the case is very sturdy, well designed and built. The touchpad is excellent and the keyboard has a firm feedback which I like. Oh, the keyboard battery, yes, it has its own battery, so you don’t have to drain your iPad to use it. Yes it needs to charged, but it is also an USB-C and the battery last a long time, for weeks of use. And No it does not have a battery gauge, which at first I thought it might be worrisome, but guess what, the native battery widget on the iPad shows the keyboard battery percentage!!! This is AWESOME, see attached screen shot!Now, let me nitpick a bit… wow is it heavy. I understand with all the metal, magnets and battery, it will be heavy. I think it’s heavier than my old clunker IBM Thinkpad! But it’s something I am ok with and can live with, for all of its features. Oh, due to the weight, the keyboard does not tip over when you are using it on your lap on the couch or in bed. The weight of the battery anchors down so the iPad is not heavier than the keyboard, which is an Issue with the Apple MK, its so light that it tips over easily.The keyboard, BTW I am writing this review with it as we speak. Why does this keyboard DOES NOT HAVE A DELETE KEY??? Instead there is a screen lock key! why? It’s very frustrating that I am so used to using the delete key and every time I hit it, the screen goes blank! I will have to bring up the onscreen keyboard to use the delete key! Ugh!!! This is probably my biggest gripe with this keyboard!My recommendation to ESR would be to put the delete key back and give us one more color on the keyboard lighting, white. It has every color but white. The closest to white is cyan, which is just a lighter shade of blue! Give us pure white please!Other than that, this is an awesome keyboard case at less than 1/3 of Apple MK price! Plus its 360 protection of the iPad and onboard battery feature, it is definitely a 5 star product!

I bought the Magic Keyboard, at a cost of £349 and when it came, I didn’t open the box, because I knew if I did, I’d want to keep it, so I sent it back and bought this after spending some time reviewing my options. This keyboard case feels solid. It’s got a mat finish, which can show fingerprints easily, but it’s cleanable. The iPad fits into a case and that case fixes to the keyboard with a relatively strong magnet, which means you can remove it when you’re deliberate with it, use it without the case or in portrait mode. The keys are backlit and you can change the brightness and the colour of the light. I’ve had it for 10 days so far, used it every day and it’s not needed charging yet. I think this is fantastic for the price, and I seem to be able to do everything with it that I want to.
