Yes, magnets in the back case line up with magnets in the cover to allow you to securely snap the case into place, providing a stable stand in raised screen view, landscape, and portrait modes during use.
To connect to Bluetooth, first press Fn + B for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode. Once in pairing mode, go to Settings > Bluetooth > Other Devices > Connect to “ESR Keyboard”. Check out the video for full instructions on connecting your keyboard.
Yes, just press the backlight key to adjust the brightness level between high, medium, low, or off.
When the trackpad is not responding, you have to disable AssistiveTouch. To disable, go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch > Turn off “AssistiveTouch”.

The case itself is pretty heavy, but that’s the only real downside. The magnet is super strong allowing it to keep the iPad up properly. I’ve had it for a month, and it’s really lovely!

When I ordered my new iPad Pro, I just assumed that the Magic Keyboard was what I wanted. Nope! The MK does not have a flap to hold your Apple Pencil in place and it kept falling off. The ESR keyboard cause DOES have a magnetic flap to hold your pencil in place. With the ESR keyboard case, you can rotate your iPad to portrait or landscape. There are many times I want the device in portrait, and the MK does not allow that. However, the BIGGEST pro for the ESR version is that your iPad is protected when you remove it from the keyboard stand!!! With the MK your device is NOT protected and you have to carry it like an infant in hopes you don’t drop it. Fortunately, I was able to return my MK (15-day return policy). This ESR keyboard case is virtually the MK case with three major improvements. There may be more, but I’ve only had it a couple of days. I did read that one review said they removed the delete button. I don’t agree if they actually meant the backspace button. There is a lock button where the backspace button usually is on most keyboards, so there is a learning curve on not reaching up so high to backspace. I love the different colors of keyboard lights I can choose. You do have to power on the keyboard, but it goes to sleep with your iPad when you close the lid. Also there’s now an added magnet to hold the flap out of the way when the lid is open. In videos of older models, the flap was just literally flapping around loose. That would have driven me crazy. I would assume that ESR actually listens to customers and fixes things. Not sure why Apple doesn’t. I will recommend this keyboard to everyone I know that has an iPad Pro!!!

Makes the iPad one sturdy unit. Totally defeats the purpose of the ultra thin design of the iPad itself, but can be a plus if you like the extra heft.The iPad won’t stick directly onto the keyboard portion without the case.The trackpad is on the small side.The case also has a tendency to peel up the edge of the ESR textured screen protector I use.

Strong, sturdy, and protective. I adore the variety this case has. The inner case is strong, snug but sleek so using on its own feels like you’re using just an iPad, then when you place it in the case the magnets are so strong! It’s not going anywhere. It is reassuring considering the value of the item it holds, though it’s considerably heavier than I expected; you know you’re holding or carrying it!The keyboard is easy to sync and use. The pads are great quality and relatively quiet, and I love that it can light up and change colour – so great for using at night when my husband is trying to sleep. The mousepad is a great addition and works really great with the iPad.The matte texture is soft and comfortable in your hands and doesn’t mark.My only and very minor critique is the angle to which it tips with open and using as a laptop. It may feel restrictive to taller people or when using on your lap in confined spaces.Definitely recommend this.
