What should I do if my Find My Pencil won't turn on or isn't working?

If the Pencil won’t turn on, try charging it with a Type-C cable for 25 minutes. Once fully charged, test the Pencil again. 


If the Pencil is on but not working, please check the following:


1. Apple Pencil Connection: If your iPad is connected to an Apple Pencil, it may prevent the third-party stylus from working. Please disconnect the Apple Pencil first.

2. iPad Compatibility: Ensure your iPad is one of the following models, as the stylus may not be compatible with others:


● iPad Pro 11″ (4th/3rd/2nd/1st Gen)

● iPad Pro 12.9″ (6th/5th/4th/3rd Gen)

● iPad Air 13″ (2025/2024)/11″ (2025/2024)/10.9″ (5th/4th Gen)

What should I do if my Find My Pencil won't connect to Bluetooth?

Follow these steps to connect via Bluetooth:


1. Press and hold the button on the back of the Pencil for 2 seconds to activate pairing mode.

2. Go to iPad Settings > Bluetooth and select ESR Geo Digital Pencil to pair.


Note: Each Pencil can only pair with one Apple ID. To connect the Pencil to multiple Apple devices, ensure they are all logged into the same Apple ID.

What should I do if I see the "Find My unavailable" alert on my iPad?

If this alert appears, please check the following:

1. Ensure Bluetooth is turned on for your iPad.

2. Confirm your iPad is connected to a stable Wi-Fi or cellular network.

3. Verify that your iPad is signed in to your Apple ID.

Will I receive a notification when my Find My Pencil disconnects from my iPad?

Yes, you can enable Lost Mode in the Find My app on your iPad and add your contact information. This allows you to track the Pencil's location using the Locate feature in the Find My app.

Does this Pencil support magnetic pairing and charging?

This Pencil supports magnetic attachment with the following models (note: it does not support wireless charging):

● iPad Pro 12.9″ (6th/5th/4th/3rd Gen)

The Pencil cannot be charged magnetically and must be charged via USB-C.

Does this Pencil have tilt sensitivity?

Yes, it supports tilt functionality in the iPad Notes app but is not compatible with OneNote or GoodNotes.


How to use the tilt feature:

1. In Notes, select the brush tool - normal pen: The faster you write, the thicker the stroke becomes.

2. Select the angled pen: The more you tilt the Pencil, the thicker the stroke will be.

3. Select the pencil: Tilting the Pencil increases the size of the pencil stroke.

4. Select the eraser: The more you tilt the Pencil, the larger the eraser stroke will become.
