The attraction may not be as strong if using the charger with other cases.

Wireless charging creates heat, but the shell of this wireless charger is made of aluminum which effectively dissipates heat during charging. This protects your phone from overheating, offering you a safe charging experience.
The wireless charger has no power storage function and only charges while the cable is plugged in, but it can still be used as a kickstand while unplugged.

Because I carry 2 phones with 2 different types of chargers I was looking for something travel size that could unplug. The puck with the kickstand was perfect for traveling. Design wise it is very sleek and fits really well in pockets. My only concern and probably reason why I would be returning it is the back of the puck gets really hot and I mean really hot. I would be worried about burning the table I put the puck on because of how hot it gets.I’m not sure if this is because the phone is trying to draw more power than the puck can provide or what but I would be concerned of starting a fire.

I discovered that my Galaxy s20+ actually works with magsafe chargers, so I went out and got a magnetic ring case, and these ESR chargers. ESR is a well-known cheap-chinese manufacturer of magsafe gear that also works with galaxy phones.Now the problem: overheating. Wireless charging is inefficient, so it generates quite a bit of heat. And today, google maps will refuse to run if the phone is warm. The phone easily gets too warm just sitting on the charging pad. Also the Galaxy fingerprint reader crashes when the magsafe magnets are nearby. AFter 10 minutes, it will return to normal.So while I was very excited to go magsafe with my galaxy phone, I found out it’s just not up to the task. The heat of wireless charging used to be ok, now with newer heat-sensitive phones, it’s just BAD. I still use my charger, but I do avoid it in certain situations. 2bad.

It’s 2024 and it’s my first wireless charger!! I bought it to charge my first iPhone !! It works flawlessly, looks cute on my desk, easy to use. I like that the cord is braided and reasonably cat-proof due to my naughty kitten who likes to sleep on my desk and chew all my cords. So far so good!
